Tamsyn Iveson is an up and coming young event rider from Lincolnshire. Her aims for 2010 are to complete Belton Intermediate, Brigstock CIC**, Barbury CIC** and Novice, and Osberton CCI** and CCI* on her rides Olympic du Loir (Intermediate event horse) and No Pips (PreNovice event horse). Her favourite Maxavita product is MaxaFlex.
1) What would be your career choice if you weren’t eventing?
Probably working outdoors as much as possible. I’m not suited to office jobs -I get bored too quickly! I can’t really think what exactly but maybe some kind of sales representative that gets to travel to yards and events.
2) What’s the best and worst thing about working with horses?
Worst- The cold weather and the fact that the horses can’t feed themselves so you can’t have a lie in!! Best- Horses don’t answer back! You can’t beat riding in the sunshine and the feeling you get when you have had a good ride cross country.
3) Who or what inspires you?
Mary King. I think she is a really nice horse woman who is very sympathetic to her horses. It’s great to watch her ride.
4) Your most memorable ride was..?
Probably on my first horse Rodney Trotter - completing my first 3 day event was a great feeling. It made me really determined to carry on what I was doing.
5) In five years from now what do you hope to be doing?
Hopefully be doing the same as I’m doing now but maybe with a few more rides and some more youngsters coming through to buy and sell.

Ben and Jerry’s Phish food!
8) How do you like your tea?
I don’t drink tea or coffee-wish I could! Love the smell of coffee but unfortunately it doesn’t taste like it smells!!
9) Who would play you in a film about your life?
This one I really can’t answer. Someone who would have to be really forgetful and unorganised. My life is dictated to me by my diary! Without it I’d be lost!
10) If I won the lottery I would…
Buy myself a country estate with a big American barn and the most amazing facilities for my horses.
11) Any advice for aspiring eventers?
Work hard and get your name out there. Ignore any derogatory comments and rise above them.
