Air quality in today’s modern world is a continuous debate, but most will agree that the increase in pollution may point to a need for a helping hand. Dusty bedding and hay are also culprits in causing problems for horses. During the winter month’s most horses are brought in off the fields and are confined to their stables for longer periods of time. The lack of fresh air and the change from fresh grass to hay may lead to poor respiratory for many horses. Inflammations and coughs are the most general symptoms as well as an increase in mucus, which for any horse, in competition or not, is not a sight many want to see with their favourite friend.

• Vitamin C - Vitamin C Powder can protect the respiratory system from allergic reactions and alleviate wheezing. The horse's natural source of vitamin C is fresh grass and other live plants. Hays and grains contain essentially no vitamin C – opening a need for a supplement especially during winter months. It is also renowned for its anti-oxidant properties and is essential to formation and maintenance of connective tissues (joint cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and the skin and bone).

• L-Glutamine - A non-essential amino acid present abundantly throughout the body and is involved in many metabolic processes.
