Pernamax Equine Tablets

FAQs

Why don't you add chondroitin sulphate to Pernamax?

Pernamax contains chondroitin sulphate which occurs naturally in the Green Lipped Mussel. Many other products use chondroitin from sharks fins, cows lungs and trachea or pigs lungs and trachea, some of which sound environmentally damaging and all of which sound pretty disgusting. If you are currently using an alternative product, why not ask your current supplier where they source theirs from?

Will my horse like the taste of Pernamax Equine?

Horses are renowned for their fussy tastes but we have extensively researched the flavour and odour of Pernamax Equine and have found that most horses take the required daily intake on the first feed.
Top Tips: If you're struggling to get your horse to take Pernamax, try pressing the tablets into slices of apple, or try feeding them mixed into a handful of mints! Be creative and your pony will thank you for it!

How is your Green Lipped Mussel extract better than others?

Maxavita use a unique Cold Processing method which retains optimum concentrations of the Omega-3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (DHA, EPA and ETAs) found in fresh Green Lipped Mussels.  Standard GLM processing, such as freeze drying and cooking damages the heat sensitive Omega-3 PUFAs, which make the GLM such an effective joint care ingredient.

Our extract SuPerna™ contains up to five times the unique ETA Omega-3 PUFAs (which have natural anti-inflammatory properties) of any other Green Lipped Mussel powdered extract, as proven in independent UK laboratories. (see chart below)
We have patented the process used, and as the exclusive distributer of SuPerna™ based products, our GLM extract really is something special!
