FAQs

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

An essential component of joint synovial fluid and connective tissue
Used extensively in medicine for
• Burns therapy
• Dermatology
• Post surgical
• Ophthalmology
• Dentistry
Joint therapy by intra-articular injection.

Known to be less effective when taken orally. There is very little proof that when taken orally, Hyaluronic Acid (HA) actually does anything at all. Ask your current supplier to show you some proof that taking HA orally does anything useful (we think they may struggle). All of the results we have seen are from injecting HA into the affected area, which is why Pernamax™ Equine gel and patches are a much more horse friendly method of administering HA.

We have chosen to use Hyaluronic Acid (HA) which is manufactured using a fermentation method. Many other companies use HA which comes from chicken combs (which sounds horrible). Please ask your current supplier where there’s comes from.
